In the past two years, our state has witnessed the evolution of Sri City into an industrial hub. With FMCG major like PepsiCo to Mondelez, Kellogg’s, Colgate-Palmolive and other national and global companies, Sri City has witnessed commitments amounting to Rs. $1 billion in the region, from various firms.
From providing amenities like power, water, land and proper connectivity and ensuring the ease of doing business, this place has it all. These investments also mean that several locals will get direct and indirect employment.
Given the strategic location of the State, this zone will also facilitate imports and exports due to the presence of ports, apart from having the advantage of good rail and road connectivity.
We have also envisaged plans to create several such growth centres in Andhra Pradesh, depending on the strength and merits of each district.
Our government aims to make every district a growth centre and eventually, these growth centres will become anchors for the state's overall development and progress.
